According to Estelle Fallet’s comprehensive book, Tissot: 150 Years of History 1853-2003, the birth of the RockWatch resulted from a number of key personalities at ETA, SMH, and omega moonwatch 1969 a Neuchâtel research laboratory called Asulab coming together. These included Thomke, a sculptor and consultant montre homme luxe named Peter Kunz, and Tissot directors Urs Hecht and Alain Spinedi.
